Where is Mama…on vacation! #vacation #oceancitymaryland

Shewie, did I miss you guys! Whoa! I have NEVER not posted for a whole week until now. 🙁 My heart was broken…

Let me tell you my sob story, seriously it’s a good one. I had every intention on blogging while on uhm, vacation (hehehehehehe) but seriously, there was no service and I couldn’t log on at all. Not even on Facebook. My social media world came crashing down on me and I was forced to enjoy life with no outside connections. I didn’t realize I was so attached until not being able to connect! But here I am today, back to my reality world.

After catching up on emails and a few blogging opportunities (tell you soon) I am finally able to sit down with my favorite cup of coffee with organic sugar and almond milk (how I have missed you so much) and tell you all my goodies!

Let’s see if I can do a short gather of our seven day vacation to Ocean City, Maryland. Crap, coffee almost gone already. Okay then!

We literally did something every moment we could of our trip. It was non-stop so I’m just running over some highlights.

Our first stop was Ripley’s Museum in Ocean City. Lots of fun! They even had a mirror maze but I obviously didn’t take pictures. Actually that probably would have been pretty blinding!

There’s the entrance. Right on the boardwalk itself!

I was pleasantly surprised at how many hands-on activities there were for adults and children!

There was also a lot of beach time,

and late nights at Jolly Rogers Amusement Park.

(Yes, that’s me in that tiny train. Refrain from judging. Welcome to being a mom!)

There was also lots of eating and I do mean dessert every night too…

We also saw LOTS of family and friends but our main reason for vacation was to see my best friend from across the country. Her and her family are worth a visit anywhere in the world. I think they are the BestEST. Of course we had to do a date night to Seacrets. (Please do find them and get lost, it’s one amazingly fun place!)

Seacrets

We also celebrated my fifth anniversary and my husbands birthday!

And in case you are wondering, I did get one run in. My mom came down as well and got me up bright and early. (With our late nights, this was quite the struggle!) I gathered my running outfit (totally brought it, with all intentions to run!) and we started down the road. Not five minutes in it, I was puking on the side street at the smell of vultures eating a dead deer. Guess you didn’t see that one coming????

But anyways, I did run and it turned out to be beautiful.

(There’s the feet picture again. Just making it authentic. Wink. Wink.)

We finished our night off with a small glass of wine.

(Me and my beautiful mother.)

To be honest, as much as I love vacation, I also love getting home. The kids were very excited to see their toys again and I was happy to sleep in my own bed! (Without my daughter kicking me in her sleep!) Waking up to a cup of coffee just how I like it, and fresh fruit and produce staring back at me in the kitchen, lots of laundry, cleaning, putting clothes back are all things I’m looking forward to today. I love getting back into every day life and I really missed cooking in my kitchen!

Thank you MBB readers for your awesome comments and asking where I am! That put a big smile on my face. Let’s get back to training shall we? I’m ready!

Glad to see you and your family had such a good time. Love the running story. 😉 Happy anniversary, and happy birthday to your husband. We don’t judge you on your train ride. That’s just one little thing that makes you a great mom. Love the pier shot, too. Oh, and thanks for the heads up about the Ripley’s museum. We’ll have to check it out when we go in October. (I haven’t been to OC in 9 years! And we’ve never been on a family vacation, so I’m really looking forward to it.)

Thanks girl! There are a few things that are “scary” at Ripley’s too. Since the kiddos are so young, they just walked by (thankfully!) but there were also lots of cool stuff too. There’s an awesome “trippy” bridge too. Check it out!
