Local Review: Clementine in Baltimore

And so Birthday Week continues! My girlfriend and I haven’t gone out in a months so we were due for a dinner date. She is one of my favorite mama’s to chat with.

We decided to eat at one of my favorite Baltimore restaurants, Clementine. After my other friend, The Messy Baker, took me here for our Girl’s Night Out, there was no turning back. Now, I take everyone. It’s just that good.

When you walk into Clementine, you will notice the laid back atmosphere. The bar sits right by the entrance door so be sure to grab a drink if you are waiting on one of their comfy sofas for your name to be called.

Tonight’s special was taco Tuesday and $5 margaritas and sangria! I had their sangria and it was out of this world delicious, bold and goooood!

We started off with some fabulous crab dip…

You know the kind where you want to lick the bowl clean but that would be oddly inappropriate to do it in public?
Then we brought on the tacos! My girlfriend had really delicious steak tacos…mmmm

and I had one poblano taco (with a summer corn mixutre) and one fish taco. (Fish had a corn meal breading that was out of this world!)

The avocado sauce was amazing!!!! The other sauce was a spicy chipotle sauce! Everything was really, really good.

We ended our evening with a chocolate baby bundt cake and coconut cake…shew we were stuffed!

And then there was Sam…our very kind and patient waiter who answered all of our questions. (We had a lot)

As I mentioned, I love this place. Another friend and I are coming back in August for some more tacos!

Their prices are very reasonable (that big taco platter, a mere $13), the atmosphere is sophisticated yet laid back at the same time, the service is amazing.

You can even make reservations using the Open Table service online! (Which I suggest, sometimes they are packed!)

They change their dinner menu regularly and use local foods. (You know that’s what brings me there every time right?) And they offer breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Let me see if I can give you some kind of idea how awesome they are:

  • They have their own charcuterie. (a shop where pork products, such as hams, sausages, and pâtés are made and sold.)
  • They cater for any kind of event from business, to BBQ’s to Bat Mitzvahs and anything else you can think of!
  • They use seasonal items and even can! (Their tomato and onion jam is a MUST try)
  • Their restaurant, as I may have mentioned, is fantastic. From fabulous service to fabulous food, it’s a must try!

And be sure to put Clementine on your next Baltimore visit!

PS Happy Birthday to me! 🙂
