A day as a Stay-at-home mom #sahm

I was speaking with a mom at a school function when she asked  me the question: what do stay-at-home mom’s do all day? I had to think about this. As if raising two children wasn’t enough, I had to add more responsibilities to the list? Well, she has my business card for MBB blog, so I thought I would share with her what I did today…

6:00 am: Open my eyes to see the sun was trying to wake up before me. Freaked out it was coming and jumped out of bed. I’m usually up between 5-5:30 am

6:05 am: Took a shower

6:30 am: Grabbed a cup of coffee and started to set up the home school lesson for that day.

7:00 am: Mr. E (4 years old) comes down the stairs.

7:15 am: Make Mr. E breakfast and realize we have to leave in 90 minutes

7:30 am: Quickly put on my make-up and dry hair.

7:45 am: Wake up Ms. F (3 years old) and drag her downstairs.

7:45-8:10 am: Convince her to eat something and do not succeed.

8:15 am: Get her dressed, grab a yogurt tube for the road. Tantrum starts.

8:30 am: Walk out the door.

9:00-11:30 am: Engage in an Open House for next year. (YIPPEEE!)

12:00 pm: Lunch

12:15 pm: Clean up lunch, throw in laundry, run a load of dishes, sweep under table

12:40 pm: Start home school lesson for the day

2:00 pm: Engage in quiet time and read a book

2:15 pm: I’m ready for a nap!

2:30-3:30 pm: NAP TIME and only down time for the day so far

3:30-3:45 pm: Snack time

4:00-4:30 pm: Play time (try to get outside time in now)

4:30 pm : Surprise visitor at the door! Hello mom!

4:45 pm: Make dinner

5:20 pm: Eat!

5:45 pm: Run (because it’s the only time I could!) Perhaps I shouldn’t have just ate…

6:20-6:45 pm: Bath time

7:00-7:30 pm: Quiet time and story time

7:30-8:30 pm: Play, “why aren’t you staying in bed game?”

8:30 pm: Blog

9:30 pm: Switch dishes, put away any toys.

START ALL OVER AGAIN.

Now, that’s just one day. Guarantee no two days are alike. Yes, I’m lucky and yes, I’m tired too.

Tomorrow is a new day and different things happen today, but always a linky party on Wednesday!

I wish I could remember my day like this! I always said I was going to write it down so my husband could see just how much I do all day, it’s not just sitting around eating bon bons all day, not that he thinks that because he doesn’t but hey writing it down may help me feel better lol! How does the linky party work? I’m new at this lol!
