5 Beginner No, No’s to running

Happy Saturday!

The week has come to an end and you wouldn’t believe whose winning the Miles Baby, Miles competition. Well, I can’t tell you yet…we still have one more day of running for the week!

Did you get your miles in?

Besides competing with my hubby, I also made a personal goal of how many miles I wanted to achieve for the week. I’m not there yet… but did I had an awfully good, two miles the other evening. I learned a lot of no, no’s . We all have to learn somewhere!

Here are 5 beginner No, NO’s to running rules:

1. Before running, change into proper clothing. That means not running in a push-up bra. Wah, wah. Remember to wear a sports bra.

HELL NO! I’m not even well in doubt and that crap is annoying! Take it from me, wear the right bra!

2. PEE before running! Do I really need to explain this?

Don’t be that guy!

3. Turn off the social media. I was on Facebook, having a conversation while doing my warm-up on Milly (AKA Treadmill). If I got off Facebook, I probably would have realized that 1. My warm-up was not a very focused  2. I had to pee!

4. Do remember to use your iPhone or an MP3 player. Would you believe this old school girl still listens to her CDs? When into a run, the last thing you want to do is get off Milly to stop the skipping CD. Now, this is what I’m talking about…

Is that real?

5. Bring a water bottle. Don’t assume there’s one waiting on Milly for you and find out, it’s half gone or is that half-filled? I always get confused.

Although awful, this run also had a good side as well. It was my best run thus far. Maybe it was the bra I was so eager to get out of?

Not impressive, but making progress and that’s all I can ask for. Shaved off time from two days prior, by 5 seconds. Yeah baby.

I also signed up for a 10k training next month. I’m SUPER stoked!

QUESTION: Are you a half full or half empty person?
