How to make time for you + MooMotion Review

Do what you love.

It’s true, we all get the same amount of time in a day and yet, we spend it all in different ways. A lot of us say, “I don’t have enough time,” or “Where does she find the time?” etc. It’s really how you want to spend your time. What are your priorities?

Yes, we all need to work but at the same time, we all need to play as well.

Today’s Healthy Habit Challenge:

Make time for yourself.

If that’s planting a garden, karaoke, reading, or even spending time with your loved ones, do it!

Nothing is going to make you happier than doing something you love right?

Here are some tips to make time for you:

  1. Put you on the calendar. That’s right. Make an appointment with yourself. Even if that’s for thirty minutes, do it. Rule is: You can’t cancel on yourself
  2. Make sure to plan an activity that is inspiring to you or you won’t commit!
  3. Get focused! If you really sit down and think about your day, I’m sure you can name a few areas that are non-productive that you could take out. For example: social media time, internet, the phone call that you know will take an hour … etc.
  4. If dinner takes an hour to cook, then prep your food at the beginning of the week and be sure to eat leftovers
  5. Take a fast shower instead of a thirty minute one
  6. Stay on top of responsibilities so you don’t have to play the “catch up” game
  7. One of my personal favorites … distribute responsibilities. There’s no reason for you to hold up the world!
  8. Multi-task. Take two tasks and see if you can finish them together
  9. Get up earlier. Ooooh, I said it…. Start off small with ten to fifteen minute increments
  10. Make goals! It is quite rewarding when you have specific daily goals that can be crossed off the list

By saving on time, even in the smallest way, you will be able to carve out the time you desire for you.

You may think that saving on minutes can’t help that much, but would you save on spending money or just give it all away? It all adds up. Every penny and every precious minute.

Remember to also be creative! There are going to be those crazy days, we all have them. I try to “go with the flow” as much as possible but that can be hard since I’m used to a very scheduled day.

Today, we had to take care of something at the house, the technician took 3 hours repairing the issue, then it was off to school. As soon as we walked back in, I heard a knock at the door. It was the technician again who had to fix another problem that we were unaware of! Two hours after that, it was dinner time. My exercise schedule was off and I couldn’t figure out how to get my thirty minutes in with the little ones.

Solution: I multi-tasked. We turned on the Wii Fitness program and had a ball! I even worked out longer than what I normally would have.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to:

1. Make time for yourself

2. Do what you love.

Speaking of things we love…I was given an awesome opportunity to review a sweet fashion-forward style sports gear.

(Yup, I told you…it’s hot!)

MooMotion, offers a selection of high-end fashionable gear for the female endurance community. Their line is second to none. Straight from NYC (the most fashionable place ever, let me clear my throat…), MooMotion gear was made for speed and distance through land and water.

You know I love to look good while running right? Well, I try and now I actually can!

MooMotion asked me to review one of their products and I have to be honest, I had my doubts. I pictured a clothing store and how I have to try on fifty million outfits to find one that looks good. Have you been in that situation? But I fell in love with their styles and committed.

I AM SO GLAD I DID!

I am sporting the Pulse Long Sleeve Jersey and it fit like a glove. The material is truly like none other. It’s soft yet stretchable. And I love that my skin can breathe in it!

If you look in the photo, you will see the thick dark blue line that contours the jersey. When pulled gently, you can it is more of a mesh type of material making it easier for my body to breathe. Yes, you can actually see through it!

I will admit, I did not sink either.

You know how some outfits prevent your body from sweating and hold all the stinky goodness inside? Awesome enough, I didn’t have that! 🙂

My only suggestion would be to measure yourself accurately. I was on border line of a medium to large and I’m glad I got the large. It fits perfectly. The flexibility of the material, the colors, style, material is spot on. I wasn’t disapointed at all but now I really have my eye on this one..

Be sure to check out MooMotion on Facebook and Twitter. They are awesome.

Disclosure: Although MooMotion gave me a sample to review, all opinions are mine. I do think they rock!
