Candied Pecan Strawberry Salad #TheSaladBar

I am very giddy and excited to announce that I am part of another fabulous group, The Salad Bar!!! I love salads all throughout the year, so I knew this would be right up my alley! What is The Salad Bar? Once a month, we are sharing our favorite salads BUT there’s a catch, there will be a theme of how the salads are made! This month the theme is…den den den….berries! This month, I have created the Candied Pecan Strawberry Salad! Please grab a seat and join me.

Berries are currently in season now for us in the United States, so after my children and I picked strawberries from our local farmers field, I decided to add them in a tasty and satisfying salad. If you know my blog, you will also known that I am quite passionate about local farms, field to table and Eco-friendly activities, so these salad challenges are perfect.

I want to give a big shout out to Wendy from The Weekend Gourmet for pulling this together for all of us! You are amazing Wendy!

I love adding glazed or candied pecans to any salad. It adds a touch of extra sweetness to each bite. Eat them plain as a snack or in a salad! Be sure to try out my Glazed Pecans to up your salad as well!

What a pretty salad, Amber! Love the idea of adding basil to the mix…I always seem to have extra left when I cook with it. Never though to add it to my organic baby greens mix! I can’t wait to try your glazed pecans recipe.

I’m in the car checking out all these gorgeous salads as we drive across Illinois…and they’re making me very hungry! So fun to join you for this month’s first Salad Bar 🙂

I think it’s the candied pecans that would do me in! I adore those little guys, unfortunately, I eat just as many out of hand as I put into my salads. Love, love love them!
We have strawberry fields just down the road as well, and they’ve been about as perfeclty ripe as they can be lately. Excellent post!

Those candied pecans are just the tastiest, no? They work especially well with your strawberries in this salad, but what I really love is the basil! Very yummy salad. I’m looking forward to next month!
