Morning Veggie Smoothie
I just HAD to share with you my absolute FAVORITE MORNING SMOOTHIE. So you may notice something different about my fav, like there’s no fruit…(I lied a little piece of apple), instead it’s filled with lots of vegetables. YES there’s a method to my madness!
I use this smoothie recipe to help shift my sugar cravings to a healthier selection of food that my body is really craving.
A lot of smoothies are filled with fruits, which are made with natural sugars, no biggy. But I can’t have lots of sugar. I’m addicted and my taste buds love it BUT my mind doesn’t want any more. My body is shouting to me to back down and I’m finally listening. It’s time for a change, a healthy change. Will you make one with me?
Starting my day off with my favorite vegetable smoothie (ever), makes me feel good on the inside and out. When I give myself a healthy start to the day, I follow up with other healthy choices throughout the day. I feel good about myself. If I choose a greasy morning sandwich, I don’t feel good but lethargic, over-filled and unhappy. This is not how I want to start my day, you?
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water (up to you how thin you want your smoothie)
- 1 cucumber: chopped
- 1 celery stalk: chopped
- 1 red pepper: seeded and chopped
- 3/4 cup grape tomatoes
- 1/2 green apple
- 1/2 lemon: seeded
- handful of spinach
- Place water in blender
- Add remaining ingredients
Set yourself up for a great morning with a very TASTY vegetable smoothie! I get it, vegetable smoothie, not a good way to reel in the deal – a little turned off by the words vegetable smoothies? Please don’t be! Just try it. You are giving your body the love it NEEDS, CRAVES and DESIRES! Work your beautiful machine!
