Being a blogger has a lot of advantages. One of them is reviewing eco-friendly products to share with you, Mama! I had the privilege to review some amazingly bee-utiful products from Beecology.
I was given the following products:
- Original Honey Hand & Body Cream
- Honey Balm
- Buzz Balm and
- Natural Grapefruit & Lemongrass Body Wash
As being a holistic mama, I am very particular about products, especially for skincare. If you think about it, your skin absorbs whatever you put on it or the particles in the air you live around. If you have changed the way you eat and are taking care of the healthy inside of your body, you should also consider what you put on the outside. Look for eco-friendly products and even organic skincare products. (YES! I said organic!) Also look at the ingredient list and educate yourself to see if they are harmful or safe.
In conclusion, here is my review:
- How does Beecology products compare to other products on the market? There are a lot of “honey” products that are available on the market, however some are mislabeled and filled with harmful additives. Beecology shines above them. The Original Honey Hand & Body Cream is formaldehyde free, paraben-free and PEG free. The lip balms have easy to identify ingredients such as coconut oil, bees wax, Shea butter, Aloe butter, etc. You are able to identify what the ingredients are to know you are using a healthy product on your skin.
- What makes Beecology stand out above other companies? There are a few things that stand out above other companies. For one, Beecology is a family-owned and operated business in the United States and therefore they make the products themselves instead of sending overseas to a factory. Secondly, all Beecology products are sulfate and paraben-free! (Please take a moment to research the harmful affects of sulfate products (also known as sodium lauryl sulfate) should you not know the harmful affects.) Thirdly, not only does Beecology offer great, natural products but they also give back 10% of their net profit from all sales to environmental and social causes.
- Are the products priced fairly? Absolutely. Compared to other natural products on the market, Beecology is right on the money with their products. The products are very affordable.
- Do the products do what they say? Yes! My chapped lips are no longer chapped and my skin no longer dry. The products feel good putting on and wearing them daily!

Personal Notes:
Original Honey Hand & Body Cream: I love this cream! Love, love, love. You only need a little bit and it goes a long way. The formula is thick and absorbs into your hands, leaving hands feel soft.
Lip Balms: Once I started using the lip balms, I found myself quickly addicted. I was given two different kinds: Buzz Balm and Honey Balm. Completely out of preference, I like the Buzz Balm better because of the Peppermint oil (leaves a minty “flavor” behind) however I was happy to have either one on me at all times. I love soft lips at all times.
Natural Grapefruit & Lemongrass Body Wash: I actually looked forward to taking a shower and using this body wash. I’m not a big fan of body washes, however, the scent of grapefruit and lemongrass on my skin is amazing!!!! Pressing down the pump made me smile. This is a for sure keeper.
I also want to point out that I felt really good putting the Hand & Body Cream on my kids. Knowing the ingredients are safe made me feel good and they liked it too. I also want to try the sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.

I would love to try the hand cream! I have trouble finding one that doesn’t leave my hands greasy. However, I also love the smell of lemongrass and bet that body wash is yummy! 🙂
